Photo credit Damon Winter for New York Times.

New York Times photographer, Damon Winter is the kind of photo journalist I would love to be. He manages to steal amazing moments along the Democratic campaign trail of the next president of the United States, Barack Obama. A bold statement for bold times, yes I know.

The photo above of Trayvon Lynn reaching to get a shot of Mr. Obama at the Richmond Coliseum sums up how many people feel. The hope that Obama brings to the nation under a new government for the people. This photo was originally posted on the homepage of New York Times on October 24.

Politics aside, check out Winter’s work. He has my dream job of photographing Obama on his campaign trail. Winter’s photos captures moments that are very moving and captivating or it could just be the content he’s capturing. Winter makes me want to become a better photographer and maybe one day I can follow suit.

Hope for change.
