The lights are dizzying and you can feel the air sliding through your hair. She’s on back and that’s all that matters. You can ride forever into the night.

Feel like going for a ride? Well, take this favtape mix with you. It’s appropriately titled, Track-stands the Album.

Favtape.com is what our generation used to do on old cassette tapes when we wanted to send some sweet jams to a baby boo. Your Last.fm and Pandora accounts can easily hook up your favorite songs to Favtape. Or you can search your songs on Favtape which can find almost anything. I was able to find really obscure mixes and covers in one quick search.

It would be great to see some implementation of being able to keep track of friends’ Favtapes or some social aspect, since that’s the buzz word all over the web – social media. That word makes me sick to my stomach working in web design, but it is a necessary evil in today’s online world of Twitterapists and Faceboogers (Facebook, heh).

Another evolution that would be a great addition would be to be able to buy your mix tape in a one click move or to buy your mix and e-mail it to an unsuspecting Facebook hottie that you’ve been stalking over the past few months. She’ll never see your love coming in your sultry mega-love-dance-freaky mix. It would fun to see your mix tape come in this form, which happens to be a usb mix tape from Hype Machine, another note worthy way to find fresh music. Overall, I am really excited to see where it will go from here. 

Here’s my first stab at a mix tape in probably 10 years. I titled it fresh cut grass and an Arnold Palmer in celebration of the sun visiting the Northwest.
